1 More and more Chinese hospitals need professional RTs . Job market is
also very good for RTs ,even new graduates.
2. Currently , there are 8 Chinese hospitals having RT department, the total
number of professional RTs in China is less than 100.
3. Sir Run Run Shaw hospital in Zhejiang is the first Chinese hospital with RT department, which started from 1994.
4. The first RT program in China is in Huaxi college of Sichuan university , it started from 1999, 12 students /year, bachelor degree with 4 years education.
5.Currently, there are 3 RT programs in China . The other two are Xi’an medical college and Zhengzhou railway technical college, but only associate degree. Zhengzhou railway technical college recruits 40-50 students /year, they have cooperation with a RT program from Taiwanese medical university. 4 Chinese RT students can go to Taiwan as exchange students, and teachers from Taiwan will teach RT course this college for some time.
